About:
Project Cocoon is a project I started working on since December of 2021 . It’s about me trying to send a rocket to space and recovering it back collecting some data like , photos and videos of the earth from space etc .(To break a record) In this project , numerous experimental rockets will be launched before I start working on my main rocket . And the reason being – I don’t want to have any failure in my main rocket because it will be a waste of time and waste of money , so I prefer failure in a small scale and learning from that and to apply on the main rocket .
Here in this page , you’ll find all my experimentations I’ve done and ill be doing till my main rocket.
FUEL TEST :
So I started out with the fuel for the rocket and did some fuel test , I tried a number of chemicals and the video below is the one I chose to use for my future rockets . Not a decent and a professional type of experimentation because I don’t have money to buy the equipments , but hey , it gets the job done and that’s all I need
FIRST MODEL ROCKET LAUNCH IN COLLEGE
ROCKET:THE BEGINNING
Tho it isn’t my first model rocket . It is however my first model rocket that big . It was launch on 5 April 2022 in my college (Moirang college ) with most of my teachers and few colleagues . Though it flew , it didn’t flew as it was intended to fly . And the reason being the nozzle . It broke off before flight on the first combustion which greatly effected the pressure and then the flight . The pressure dropped tremendously so low that only the pressure from the first combustion propelled the rocket and the remaining fuel just acted as a smoker and nothing else . Though I’m happy it flew a little because I was worried if it will fly or not , but it wasn’t a satisfactory flight .
